The tale...
Once upon a time, there was a love story that began with a simple bouquet of violets - the one my nonna Norina held in her hands when my nonno Angelo saw her for the very first time. Captivated by her grace and the delicate scent of the flowers, he fell hopelessly in love.
That overwhelming love, born from simplicity, also marked the beginning of our family’s journey: my grandparents left a lively Italy for the quiet Belgium of the 1950s, carrying with them authentic flavors, heartfelt warmth, and a deep attachment to their culture.
The roots of this story shaped my childhood - Sundays lingering around the table, a slow-simmering ragù whispering patience, and hugs that carried the comforting scent of the kitchen.
At eight years old, I took my first trip to Italy - an experience that left an indelible mark on my soul. The vibrant landscapes, the laughter of relatives, and the aroma of freshly baked focaccia wrapped me in a feeling of pure belonging. When it was time to return to Belgium, tears streamed down my cheeks. In that moment, a quiet determination took root: I promised myself that one day I would return to this enchanted land and make it my home.
Thirty years later, that promise became reality. This is how Cappuccetto Verde was born - an adventure that celebrates Italian cuisine, warm hospitality, and a touch of magic.

From my grandmother’s kitchen to today, my life has always been shaped by the flavors and aromas of tradition. As a child, I would watch her skilled hands knead, cook, and transform simple ingredients into dishes that told stories.
As I grew older, I chose a more “serious” path: I studied law, worked as a lawyer, and later advised entrepreneurs. Yet the dreams that had been with me since childhood never left my side.
Over time, passion became both study and practice: from family recipes to professional kitchens, from meeting local farmers to creating authentic food experiences. Today, through Cappuccetto Verde, I bring all of this together in a picnic basket — offering moments of taste and simplicity to be enjoyed under the open sky.
