The fairy tale...

It all started with a bouquet of violets. My grandmother Norina was holding them in her hands. My grandfather Angelo saw her like that, and it was love at first sight. That love crossed borders and brought my family from Italy to Belgium in the 1950s. Angelo and Norina brought much more than two suitcases with them. They brought flavours, gestures, and traditions. Every meal was a piece of Italy. Every Sunday, a homecoming. Growing up in Belgium, those traditions became my roots. When I was eight, I took my first trip to Italy. I remember everything: the landscapes, the laughter, the scent of focaccia. I felt at home. When it was time to go back to Belgium, I cried. A lot. And in that moment, I made myself a promise: "One day I'll come back. And this land will be mine." Thirty years later, that promise became reality. I came back. I left everything behind. And I created Cappuccetto Verde.
